Cauthen Returns to New York for Belmont Experiences

Steve Cauthen, one of the most accomplished jockeys in Thoroughbred racing history, will be a special guest at the 2016 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival through the new Belmont Experiences program June 10-11 on the 38th anniversary of his historic Triple Crown-winning ride aboard Affirmed in 1978 at Belmont Park.

Steve-Cauthen-jockey-Belmont-StakesNow the owner of a Thoroughbred breeding farm in North Central Kentucky and a prominent ambassador for the sport, Cauthen will be interacting with fans and serving as a celebrity handicapper while visiting multiple clubhouse and grandstand hospitality venues throughout the weekend. Belmont Experiences is the new partnership between the New York Racing Association (NYRA) and QuintEvents, the official experience provider for the Belmont S. and America’s leading major-event travel/experience/hospitality company.

Belmont Experiences is modeled after Derby Experiences and Breeders’ Cup Experiences, which provide packages of tickets, hotel, onsite hospitality and concierge services for fans and groups who interested in experiencing those events in a special way. The program guarantees authenticity of tickets and exclusive benefits with seating in Belmont Park’s premier locations.

“The Belmont Stakes is one of the great events in sports whether there is a Triple Crown at stake or not,” said Cauthen. “I was there last year for American Pharoah and I’m looking forward to working with Belmont Experiences this year.
